which pink should i wear today?

1. Womb  2 & 3. Marc Jacobs  4. Junya Watanabe for CDG  5. No brand (from BKK)  6. Graniph   7. Tokidoki

Don’t be mistaken, i’m not that a pink person, this is just a small fraction from my wardrobe.

the long way

i was really bad with directions and ended up walking a long way yesterday. Luckily the sun had decided to take a rest for the day, if not i would have been burnt.

Bugis (mrt) . . . . Sunshine Plaza (printing) . . . . SAM (drop off mail) . . . . ACM (exhibition) . . . . Raffles Place (mrt)

i was a little disappointed at the exhibition. Don’t be mistaken, McCurry’s photos are great (i had this image of a boy with a stack of pitta in his hand, etched in my mind since) but i was expecting more photographs on exhibit. And the glass panel with the framing causes a lot of glare and reflections that are very objectionable. Otherwise, it would have been a great exhibition.

bright and cheery

Determine to liven my spirits from yesterday’s greyness, i braved through the heat and get these bright flowers from the market.

Tips from florist:
For longer lasting flowers, add a little sugar into the water (do not stir/mix) and trim stalks every two days.

grey

Yesterday was grey the whole day and i kept hearing A Little Fall Of Rain in my head. I’ve watched the musical Les Miserables three times, and each time, when Eponine collapsed to the ground and sang this song, my tears rolled down uncontrollably.

Don’t you fret, M’sieur Marius
I don’t feel any pain
A little fall of rain
Can hardly hurt me now

seven up, eight down

This image reminds me of the chinese idiom: 十五个吊桶, 七上八下 (15 hanging buckets, feeling unsettled).

nothing

Don’t you feel like going into hiding sometimes?

Shut the window.
Hear nothing.
Do nothing.
Think nothing.

No mobile.
No email.
No msn.
Nothing matters.

Just for a while.

christmas 1979

i bought this second hand poem book at Camden Market for just 10p many years ago. Not that i was into poems but i was attracted to the handwritten message on the first page. The book was a Christmas gift from Janie to her lover.

It’s a little sad that the book ended up in a flea market years later, but the fact remains that, in 1979 or before, they met each other and fell in love.

Yes, i am a romantic at heart... even though i don’t look like one.

more insane collections

These are the second batch that i got back recently. i am really happy to see these as they are so adorable and inexpensive compared to my dolls, thus less stressful!

My favourite character, Mr Bump.

About 20 of them with a few Little Misses hiding amongst the Men.

Fuzz, the first beanie i bought in London.

My favourite ostrich and a bunch of jealous baby beanies yearning for attention.

Classic Poohs and an unknown character on the right. i’m not even into Pooh bears, don’t know why i got these.

i’m not a Sesame Street fan either, but these finger puppets are so adorable!

Pink: i’m the prettiest woman on this street, yadda yadda yadda.
Green: Oh gosh! There she goes again!

Ahhh... smurfs! My sis and i used to wake up early every Sunday morning to catch the cartoon when we were little. La~la~lalalala~ la~lalalala~
