day four

A greasy day! My whole family returned last evening and my brother-in-law bought me chicken rice for dinner, something that i seldom eat because its greasy and fattening. But it’s-so-yummy!

naturally stylish

The Sartorialist, a blog that i’ve been following, is now in print. i had been waiting anxiously to get a copy ever since i read on his blog about the book. The last time when i was at the bookstore, it wasn’t out yet. And finally, i got a copy yesterday! Everyone in his photos looked stylish yet so natural. i love how fashion, when through his lens, becomes part of everyday life.

i hope he will come to Singapore (for book signing, maybe?). i am so looking forward to a day when we will be able to see our familiar streets and people through his lens too.

day three

Can’t stop eating :-p

forest wall

Work-in-progress.

i was a little disappointed when i went on-site to check the paint work today.
Hopefully it will improve after they touch-up the wall.

day two

i’m glad i went for the dinner tonight. In fact, i felt better the moment i stepped out of the house. Strange. i always thought it would have been better if i stay indoors to avoid the haze. Anyway, i had a yummy steak dinner at New Harbour Cafe & Bar, and best of all, a nice long catch-up with three old friends.

day one

i’m going to be on my own for four days, so it means no homecooked food. Let’s see how much junk food i will be eating.

The haze is burning my eyes and causing me headache but seems like it did not affect my appetite.

a typical tea/toast day

This is where we have our tea and toast whenever my sis visits on a weekday.

As for my typical work/sleep day, it has gone from bad to worst. i’ve been working average 13hrs each day for the past two weeks. Tired.

queen’s favourite fruit?

On Saturday, my friends and i checked out The Queen & Mangosteen, a gourmet British pub – waterfront view, cool breeze, delicious crayfish dinner – a perfect lazy evening.

After dinner, we watched The Time Traveler’s Wife (yes, i teared, just in case you wonder), and now i am tempted to read the book.

ixus vs lumix

Or rather photos taken by my sis (left) vs mine (right) in Melaka.

Reaching Melaka on a drizzling morning.

A typical tourist shot @ Christ Church Melaka. My sis claimed to be a very good SELF-photographer and indeed, this pix proved her point completely – good at taking picture of herSELF only.

i was already at the entrance of Christ Church while they were still at the Red Square.

Stadthuys Museum. Look at my attention-seeking-twisted last finger. Weird.

Stadthuys Museum. Looking down.

Stadthuys Museum.

Stadthuys Museum. Looking extremely satisfied after taking the picture of Admiral Cheng Ho.

Walking up St. Paul’s hill.

St. Paul’s Church.

St. Paul’s church. A group shot before leaving.

Calanthe Art Cafe @ Pahlawan Megamall. Coffee break.

Geographér Cafe @ Jonker Walk. Kilkenny vs Hoegaarden. Such nice night colour (especially the red and green) from my sis’s ixus.

This is how much i ate for tea breaks last two months. AND i haven’t been exercising regularly for months. Gosh!

melaka: and everything else

Bicycles parked against the wall of Hoe Kee Chicken Rice.

At the touristy Red Square.

Chilling out at The Baboon House.

Hotel Puri. View from a 4th floor window – looking ahead and down (breakfast area).

Not sure what’s this for, looked like a newly built area.

Cute coffee cup at a coffeeshop.

Lots of interesting stuffs at the Red Handicrafts shop.

Nyonya rice dumplings at Nancy’s Kitchen.
