the last of 2010

i’ve always love moving into a new year. It feels like life getting a fresh start from point zero – the bad things will be left behind and the good things will get even better. And since i’ve decided to make some changes to my rather stagnant freelancing life, i’m pretty excited about it. Will elaborate when the time is ripe.

For now, some updates on my etsy shop :-)

These are the ‘props’ that i used for the shop banner. It wasn’t planned, i just happened to have the shot and while browsing through iphoto, the picture suddenly screamed banner, so there it is.

Printed some happy cloud stickers with the shop website on it for use as part of the packaging. Before, i had no patience for gift wrap at all, but now it has become one of the most enjoyable process. i get really excited and thrilled whenever i received my online purchases, especially if they came in a nicely wrapped packaging. And i am hoping that i can make others feel the same way too.

Some new prints – The dancing baby koi will liven any spirit, and the magical stars is perfect for the romantic daydreamer.

3 p.m. breaks calendar. i found some really nice paper to print on today, they’re more expensive than the current one that i’m using, but i feel that it’s totally worth it. So new orders will be printed on the new paper! Yeay!

Custom design calendars are also available. Just email me the photos that you like and i will do up the layout for you.

Happy New Year!
xx

big apple

i recovered these few free pin buttons while packing my cabinet just now. i’ve had them (and possibility a lot more) for as long as i can remember. The apple has to be the biggest pin button i ever had, it came together with a Japanese magazine. Among these, three were from OH! exhibition* last year. i remembered i was hoping to get buttons of Marisa Keller’s work but they were packed randomly in a small black holder and you have no idea which are the ones inside. Oh well, i’m sure i will have better luck next time :-)

*OH!2011 is back and this time round to Marine Parade. The ‘art walkabout’ will be held on two weekends – 8/9 & 15/16 January 2011. Do check out their website for more details and also catmarx’s blog on the exhibition updates. i am quite excited to explore it myself, maybe i’ll see you there? :-)

christmas feast and twister

First comes the drinks – wine, soft drinks, ribena, followed by...

... a whole table of food – turkey, pork knuckles, salad, portobello mushroom with cheese,
nachos, mushroom soup, edamame, sausages and walnut bread... did i miss out anything?

Dad was enjoying the soup while my niece can’t put down her ribena.

Mum got to open her pressies first.

My turn!

The puppies waited till last, but they will never be forgotten :-)

Twister time! These were taken before it started, and it got real crazy after that.

Finally, a slice of chocolate log cake (and some cherries and strawberries) to end the
crazy evening.

running out of time

i’m so late in my Christmas shopping this year. The above pack is the only pressie that i bought and mailed for a friend in UK so far... the little cloud pendant is not counted as it’s for myself :-p

7 Days to Christmas and i’ve yet to find anything for my family. Help!

the everyday of past few weeks... or months

Some misc pics to make up for the lack of my favourite everyday posts (again) :-)

Tea, coffee, desserts

Mini cheezels

Still loving my walks.

At a newborn party with cute carebear cupcakes and balloons.

More walks :-)

Christmas spirit is high, my niece and i have been taking pics almost every other day.

Meatout Monday meal – fried vegetarian vermicelli with crispy beancurd skin.

Steamboat and drinks with the gals. Love it always!

Went JB and was stuck in an unexpected traffic jam of more than 3 hours. i was so bored
and started taking random pics of trees and my niece’s polka dots butt.

3 p.m. breaks

i’ve got a new book!

3 p.m. breaks are my daily respite from the toils of life. Well, life’s little joys can never be simpler – put a little thought into your tea breaks, and be amazed by its therapeutic effect.

i feel very lucky and honored indeed to have it being featured under the front page of Blurb’s Staff Picks for the past few weeks and it was also elected as Book of the Week following its publishing. Exhilarating for me, it is!

3 p.m. breaks is available online, size 7 x 7 inches, 80 pages.
Festive flat rate shipping till 10 December 2010.
