from door-to-door

The visit to Swan Valley reminds me a little of the Marlborough region in New Zealand
which i love a lot – vineyards, wineries, good food, roadside fresh local produce, cafes,
fabulous sceneries...

Across the Visitors Information Centre was a park where there were rows of huge trees
with camouflage looking patterns on its unusual smooth tree bark... it was beautiful.
We ended up spending a bit of time walking around the park and took many photos even
before the actual start of our Swan Valley tour!

Skinny waists, envy!

Shopping at Margaret River Chocolate Co., the last pic was my shopping basket :-)

Beautiful sceneries and trees along the way.

A couple on their way to attend a wedding at one of the wineries.

The sparkling honey water that ALL of us loved.

A cat yearning for attention at Jabiru Art Gallery & Cafe. Not allowed to enter, she waited
at the door while we ordered beverages at the counter.

Bought my favourite apricot soft nougats here!

i think we visited at least ten galleries & shops in total. It’s a shame that many does not
allowed photography.

nomnomnom

8 days of noms in Perth. Not a good idea to do food collage at night... i’ve made myself
so hungry!

Perth, everywhere

“mmm... our sandwich is so delicious!”

Maybe it was the beautiful park... maybe it was the awesome weather... the three of us
were in fabulous mood that day.

We were having a picnic at Kings Park when one of my friends suddenly said proudly:
“Mmm... our sandwich is so delicious!” And the two of us agreed readily and even joked
that the crow must be eyeing our food as it has been loitering around since we arrived.
The night before, we had stopped by the supermarket to pick up the ingredients and woke
up early in the morning to prepare the sandwich ourselves. It was just a simple sandwich...
with some lime and black pepper chips, cherry tomatoes and strawberries to go with.
Thinking back, it was quite funny – we had sounded as though making the sandwich was
such a great accomplishment.

happy dolphins

The dolphins at Rockingham were a happy bunch of speed swimmers. The sea was like a big playground for them, leaping and frolicking around us, not the least wary of our intrusion. And their happiness was infectious, our boat was filled with exciting chatters and laughters whenever they get near.

stars within reach

Look! i found stars right at my feet!

Can’t wait to share the rest of the photos from the trip... and yes, i do have ‘decent’ ones, jumping was not the only thing we did in Perth :-)

one crazy day, we decided to jump

... at Point Walter, Kings Park, Fremantle... with-all-your-strength jump, starfish jump, continuous jumps...
And once we started, we can’t be stopped.

We had a total of close to 40 jumping pictures while travelling in and around Perth. Many of which are failed pictures, they are the truly hilarious ones which i’ve grouped some of them in the last picture. Thought i best have them grouped up small before i upload, don’t think my friends want to be recognised in silly poses. Ha!

menagerie

i love the unique sculptures from Menagerie: Contemporary Indigenous Sculpture exhibition
at the Western Australian Museum. They are the perfect marriage of contemporary and
aboriginal art pieces. It’s a pity no photography is allowed so i couldn’t share any pictures
here. Do check it out if you’re in Perth :-)

Pretty in their own way... even if they are just wild grass by the drain.

“slacks and shoes to go with it?”

Peanuts 60 Years World Tour pop-up store, at Hilton L2.

i was so tempted to get a pair of the (overpriced but so cool!) Peanuts Converse sneakers, hopefully they will go out of stock soon so i can stop thinking about it.

feeling guilty on a week day afternoon

With two laptops sitting side by side on my desk, it sure appeared that i am really busy.
But in actual fact...

... i was watching Gossip Girl on one and msn on the other.

And the thing is, i do have real work to do.

note to self

i am always feeling sleepy in the afternoon these days. And believe it or not, i actually dozed
off on the chair next to this window with bright light flooded on me yesterday. Just now,
i was playing ‘shoot and die’ with my niece... i pretended to drop dead on the bed but ended
up falling asleep.

Note to self: Stop watching dvd till wee hours!
