chopping. frying. washing

Kitchen. The most interesting place in this house.



i was wondering what this was for and finally saw its usage a few days later.

Such a traditional way to heat the stove.




Delicious black sesame paste with sugar kueh!

Purple corn, not as tasty as the yellow ones.


No table in the kitchen for preparation work, everything was done on the floor.

Frying my favourite ngo hiang.

A pot of boiling beef balls.




Water has to be pumped from the tap first before there is any water supply.
All washing was done outside the kitchen and it’s the same washing area
for everything food and non-food.
